Eternal damnation to hell... sometimes when we have a fire going in the fireplace I realize how hot it is and I just sit there and thank Jesus for saving me from eternal damnation to hell. I can't imagine if Christ wouldn't have come and died on the cross so that we might have eternal life... what would we have to look forward to? An eternity in hell. We would have no hope, we would live each day in fear knowing anytime we could die and burn in hell forever.
There are so many people out there- friends, neighbors, coworkers, family members that don't know the truth and who are searching or may know the truth and just don't accept it. I pity those people who choose not to accept Christ because one day THEY WILL stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ and He will look at them say "I never knew you" because they never accepted Him as their personal Savior.
It's not through baptism, it's not through sprinkling, it's not through good works, it's not through being a good person... it's simply through believing that Jesus died on the cross for YOUR sins and accepting Him as your personal Savior. It's never too late until your time on earth is up... and no one knows when that could be.
