Tore Up....

I've needed a blogging break. I've needed just a BREAK. A break from flower making, a break from cleaning, and a break from blogging. Now I've had my break and I will admit, it was nice. I jumped back into making flowers Tuesday night, delivered more to one of my shops today and have more to deliver to another sometime this week.

But you know what? This is my last FULL work week. It seems like this week has taken years to come and it is FINALLY here. My LAST week of working full time. I will start my new schedule after this week.

One of my biggest reasons for needing a break is I had a wedding today. So we arrive at church at 1 p.m. today, walk into the gym and I see the cake. It looked like the CAKE monster had attacked it. I gasped when I saw it and just asked WHAT HAPPENED?

The cake had fallen all on it's own, it just slid right off onto the floor. So the cake lady ran to a grocery store and bought a sheet cake and used part of it to make another top layer.

Now, since I wasn't the bride, automatically I was wondering "was any of the cake salvaged to where it's edible like right NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????" I didn't mind having some cake to test before having to go upstairs and do the wedding. So I walked into the kitchen and there was this BEAUTIFUL site that I beheld...

This was so TORE UP!

And here I was three seconds after seeing it...

I did feel really bad for the cake lady. In all of her years of making cakes (including my yummy one) this had never happened.

And yes it was SO GOOD. I even had some at the reception.

OH Kara it sound like you had a not so great day, that ended GREAT with cake to eat!! YUM! I had cake this week too since it was my birthday. Too bad the cake fell over, as long as they made the best of it thats all that counted, no cake should ruin a day right?

Congratulations! You have been awarded with the "I Love Your Blog" award! You can check it out on my blog:
