Today I'm participating in Kelly's Show Us Your Life Proposal Stories, SO! Here's mine!
Well, I have to admit, I can almost figure out any surprise. I'm just a nosey person! So Larry had to do something way out of the ordinary so I wouldn't figure him out! He had thought of trying to get into the White House and doing something neato like that but he KNEW I would figure him out!
It was a Monday night (I think LOL) and our Pastor's wife asked me to stop by Crate & Barrel that evening to get a punch bowl. I thought it was a little odd, but ok we'll go and get one. The Crate and Barrel was out at Tyson's mall so we grabbed a bite to eat at Maggiano's. After dinner, Larry said "Hey, I heard they were showing a new presentation at the Bose store, you wanna go?" I said, "yea, sure". Now going back, one of our first times doing something we went to the mall and watched this presentation at the Bose store. So we went in there and it was just us two in the entire store. Larry told him we were wanting to watch their presentation and they took us back to the room and closed the door.
Then the presenatation started but it consisted of ME!? Huh? And this sweet little song came on that he would always sing to me! Larry had put together a little DVD of us of pictures while we were dating (which weren't many considering we were only dating 'officially' a month!) and at the end, it popped up "Kara, I Love You, Will You Marry Me?" He got down on one knee and pulled out this ring!
And of course I said yes!
I met Larry when I came for my interview here at Temple back in October of 2005. The first time I saw him, I noticed how NICE and spiffy he dressed and he just looked like my type. So I thought, "hmmm, I wonder if I'm going to marry him?" No LIE! Honest!
So when I moved up the next month, we would things together off and on and then it finally got serious in February. Engaged in March. Married in July. So this July 8, we will be celebrating our 4th anniversary!
